About
Alan Fagan is a freelance producer/composer/arranger, multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer. He earned his Master of Music in Music Production degree in 2021 from the Berklee College of Music. He also holds a Master Certificate in Music Production and Technology from Berklee and a B.S. in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University, where he focused on bass trombone and jazz piano. Following college, Alan enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 22 years as a Navy Musician, touring the U.S. and abroad as an instrumentalist, arranger, sound engineer and bandleader. He finished his career as the live sound reinforcement instructor for the Navy School of Music in Virginia Beach, VA.
After the Navy, Alan went back to his true passion, composing and producing music for media. His lifetime of musical experiences can be heard in the many genres and styles he writes in.
Alan composes both exclusively and non-exclusively for several premiere music libraries including Crucial Music, Crucial Custom, Jingle Punks Music, MIBE Music, ScoreKeepers Music, Audio Socket and Pond5. His music has been placed in over 1,500 television programs, commercials, and films.
Alan also keeps busy as a freelance bass trombonist as well as working in the live sound engineering field. He is the audio engineer at Grace Bible Church Lynnhaven Campus in Virginia Beach, and he teaches Live Sound Engineering for the Sound Recording Technology Department at the F. Ludwig Diehn School of Music, Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
